Are We Leaders or Difficult Women? Prof Gabrielle Casper

When women are powerfully and publicly advocating changes on their own behalf or on behalf of other women they are often labeled “difficult women”.   To illustrate this controversy I will speak about  some of the members of the Medical Women’s International Association. Women  have an honorable challenge to improve the status of women worldwide.  Taking up this challenge is not charity but a unique responsibility.  We can not possibly address this challenge unless we are effective Leaders.  To become effective leaders we must change the current culture that labels women  undertaking advocacy roles as difficult women.
